Theater Arts Academy: 2008–2009

Our school-year classes are organized in three sessions. Our Saturday Academy classes are on Saturday mornings; our Wednesday Academy classes are on Wednesday afternoons. We have classes for ages 4 - 18. The cost of each session is $49 per member or $63 per non-member. (A family membership is $50.)

  • Saturday Academy, Session I
    September 20 - November 8 (no class November 1).
    • Ages 4-8, 9:00 - 10:00 am, Introduction to Creative Drama
    • Ages 8-11, 10:00 - 11:00 am, Creative Drama and Chracterization
    • Ages 11-15, 9:00 - 10:00 am, Advanced Characterization
    • Ages 15-18, 10:00 - 11:00 am, Advanced Dramatic Study
  • Saturday Academy, Session II
    December 13 - February 7.
  • Saturday Academy, Session III
    March 7 - April 18.
     
  • Wednesday Academy, Session I
    September 24 - November 5.
    • Ages 4-8, 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Introduction to Creative Drama
    • Ages 8-11, 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Creative Drama and Chracterization
    • Ages 11-15, 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Advanced Characterization
    • Ages 15-18, 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Advanced Dramatic Study
  • Wednesday Academy, Session II
    December 10 - February 4.
  • Wednesday Academy, Session III
    March 4 - April 15.
     

Each Drama Camp session meets Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, for two weeks. Ages 4 - 18 are split into groups based on age and level of development. The cost is $175 per member or $200 per non-member. Midsummer Camp is one week camp (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) for ages 14 - 18. The cost is $85 per member or $100 per non-member.

    July 13 - July 17.
  • Summer Drama Camp, Session II
    July 20 - July 30.

All classes and camps take place at our Logan Square office/rehearsal space.

Classes are offered with the support of the City of Lansing's General Funds Minigrant Program and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Inc. Ask about scholarships!
