Performances were February 14-15 & 21-22, 2003 at Kinawa Middle School in Okemos.
Directed by Doreen Evans, with a cast of 11 clowns and a supporting crew of many young people and adults. Doreen, Head Costumer at All-of-us Express from its founding through 2002, also founded and directs the Clowns at Play clown troupe and is a professional clown herself (Lambeau), having performed around the country. This is the second time she has directed Clowns' Play.
The performance was one hour in length, with no intermission. Immediately following the performance the Clowns did face painting and balloon tying as part of a small carnival set up in the cafeteria.
Co-sponsored by Okemos Nursery School & Terry and Rae Ann Weymouth, with the support of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Capital Region Community Foundation, Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Lennar Partners c/o CB Richard Ellis/Martin, and Capital Area United Way.

As Clowns' Play opens, the clowns are serving as ushers for a performance of ``Jack and the Beanstalk.'' They soon find that the scheduled performers are delayed and will not make it in time to put on the play! What to do? The clowns decide that, with some help from the audience, they can act out the play themselves. And so the show goes on!
Clowns' Play was written by Reginald F. Bain. Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.
