20th Season

At All-of-us Express Children's Theatre our mission is doing theater. Along the way we teach responsibility, self-esteem and many practical life skills. When you watch one of our shows, you see not only the children on stage, but the result of much effort behind the scenes by young people who work on all phases of every production, from auditions through to the final clean-up. The show you watch is run by student Assistant Directors and students on the Costume, Makeup, Props, Lights and Sound crews. It's their show! Show and audition dates and times should be considered tentative; it is always possible that changes might have to be made. Please check back closer to the event to confirm dates, times and locations. Season brochure (PDF). |

The name Pocahontas, belonging to the daughter of the powerful Algonquin Chief Powhatan, means "She-Who-Likes-To-Be-Mischievous." It's a fitting name, because the princess enjoys playing tricks and games, especially with Wolf, Raven and Squirrel, her playmates in the forest. She also makes friends with the English settlers in the struggling community of Jamestown. Featuring a cast of characters that includes Little Running Rabbit, Brave Eagle, Aunt Morning Star, Forest Spirits, Mother Earth and the people of Jamestown. Filled with Native American lore and true to the original legend, it's an entertaining and fascinating page from our country's history that glows with excitement and warmth. Adapted by Vera Morris.
